The Moon Bowls project started ten weeks ago, at the very beginning of November 2017. I had been thinking about a theme for my upcoming ceramics exhibit, and a different perspective on my passion for exploring unknown environments in art.
A collection of my recent and brand-new ceramics will be on display at Georgie’s Ceramic & Clay in Northeast Portland from Jan. 13 – March 7, 2018. I’ll be unveiling the first iteration of my newest project, Moon Bowls, as the featured work in my exhibit titled “Night Sea.”
Every piece in this exhibit invites an experience of the senses, inspired by the wild, physical beauty of the natural world, and the wonder of exploring every detail of the landscapes that sustain us.
Oct. 6 – Nov. 17, 2017 at the 510Museum in Lake Oswego. Works in clay, fiber, and encaustic explore the way water shapes our landscapes, and the gathering of life that shares them.
I have been making pods for 14 years. Right now, I am working on three related ceramic series: Lava Pots, Lagoon Pots, and Anemone Pots.
I could not pass up the opportunity to be part of an exhibit of traveling beaver art! My three ceramic beavers will be on display at seven venues around Oregon in 2017…
