Ellwood Mesa ocean view #925
A view to the sea from the dappled shade of a small grove of wind-sculpted eucalyptus trees near the ocean bluffs on Ellwood Mesa, in Goleta, Santa Barbara, California. Ellwood Mesa, also known as Sperling Preserve, is the largest public open space on the South Coast of Santa Barbara County. The area is named for Ellwood Cooper, a rancher in the late 1800s who planted thousands of trees, including many eucalyptus.
