Nestled in the hills above Santa Barbara, California, this white plaster church glows in the afternoon sun. Shades of pink and blue on the walls reflect the colors of the earth and sky. Blue roof tiles gleam in the light, and the gilded cross capping the blue dome shines a brilliant light onto the tiles below.
The church was built in 1947, around 40 years after the first Greek immigrants arrived in Santa Barbara.
