Small Encaustics – new in the shop!

Each painting is matted and ready to frame in a standard size 8×10″ frame. Image size is 4×6″ centered in a 5×7″ mat opening. This is the most affordable way to collect my encaustic paintings!

These small works were the precursors to my “River to Sea” encaustic series of ten 12″ x 12″ wood panels. Encaustic wax paintings have a uniquely luscious, velvety surface quality in person, and these pieces all have lots of texture and detail packed in to a small space. They also look great displayed together as a set.
Creating these paintings is how I first fell in love with encaustic wax, and I’ve kept them in my personal collection for years. Each one felt like a precious, intimate hint of a bigger world. It’s time now to share my favorites with you!
